Description chris 2013-03-01 19:45:49 UTC
Hi all,
I have the Problem if i write in Libreoffice or openoffice writer.
I use echo per word. If i type the current spoken word is interrupting if i begin with the next word. The word should interrupt if the second word is finisched (space return etc.). than sould the next word spoken.
reproduce
turn on orca
open writer
turn on echo per word in orca
type in the textarea of libreoffice:
Thisisalongwordforbettertesting<space> x<space>

if i type the letter x after the space, the first word is intrrupting.
the first word should interupt by pressing space after the x. if i press the space after the x the "word" x should spoken.

So orca has in an normal text more time read the word.
i can be reproduced with espeak and ibmtts. i have an higher speechrate.
i use fedora 18. but i could reproduce it with ubuntu 12.10 too.
this problem makes write letter with lower pcs or netbooks nearly impossible.

greetings from germany

I Forget to say that i m not using Echo per key. in this case it
makes sense that the word interrupts and echo the current key.
