GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 694642
Audio timeline does not reflect content at different zoom levels
Last modified: 2013-02-27 14:34:20 UTC
I'm editing together several DV sources - uncompressed PAL video and audio. I had two cameras in the one room and am trying to synchronise their video by lining up their audio timelines. The problem is that the audio preview changes depending on the zoom level and position in the timeline - it often reflects something that is completely unrelated to the actual audio. A demonstration of this problem is available via: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wqmzXVZnuM It's repeatable across restarts of PiTiVi. Steps to replicate: 1) Import DV file and add it to the timeline. 2) Zoom in and scroll around in the timeline. Occasionally the audio graph in the timeline will not reflect what's actually there, and will change depending on zoom level and position. I don't know if this is an effect of just having uncompressed video, or two videos. I haven't experimented on this to narrow it down, sorry. I can supply DV and test other things on request. Hope this helps, Paul
Hi, this is mostly a duplicate of bug #609377 and bug #610197. We want to replace the waveforms code by a new gstreamer library, for which the last details/news are here: http://pecisk.blogspot.ca/2012/11/state-of-libwaveform-after-gsoc.html *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 609377 ***
