GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 694625
Add a GNOME Fallback session
Last modified: 2013-09-23 14:15:39 UTC
Needed after http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-session/commit/?id=bef001f9 but I think this is a better place for it anyway
Created attachment 237315 [details] [review] Add a GNOME Fallback session This was removed from gnome-session 3.7.4 so let's it add it back here
Created attachment 238435 [details] [review] Jeremy's patch, updated to use the new name "GNOME Flashback" Thank you Jeremy for looking into this. When compiling against a current jhbuild world-3.8 tree, I get a gnome-session half-starting, and then showing the new Fail Whale screen (though some windows are visible in the background). Also, it spews an error that it's trying to call some unknown method on consolekit (unknown to both wheezy's and quantal's system CK) - however I'm not sure if that is the reason for the fatality, need to investigate further. Anyhow, to at least post something, here's Jeremy's patch updated to include the rename to "Gnome Flashback". Cheers all !
For reference: This was merged in commit fcc9e21a70d390c3824559132a83a61461bcb88a, with one file later being renamed back in 3fb19c8e260b814949c017e4939c1e8254f9b877.
