Description Cosimo Cecchi 2013-02-22 23:03:44 UTC
To reproduce on 3.7.90:
- reboot, or log out
- at the login screen, select an user that is not logged in already
- enter the password, but before pressing Enter to confirm, pay close attention to what happens just below the password entry
- press Enter to confirm

A string like "Last successful login was on 02/22/2013 - 5:12 PM" or, in case you typed the wrong password, something like "1 failed attempt since last login" will flash under the entry for an instant before the whole scene fades out.

what does your /etc/pam.d/postlogin have in it?

Turns out this is a downstream Fedora bug, I filed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=915371
