Description Kalev Lember 2013-02-22 12:33:49 UTC
I've killed off the gnome- vendor prefixes from eog.desktop, file-roller.desktop, gucharmap.desktop, and yelp.desktop in Fedora 19.

Attaching a patch to revert the gnome-applications.menu changes that deal with the Fedora downstream renames. It might be better to wait with this for the next development cycle, because there might be plenty of people who are building GNOME with jhbuild on Fedora 18 where we still have the gnome- vendor prefixes.

Remove the special casing for Fedora desktop vendor renames

The desktop file vendor prefixes are gone from eog.desktop,
file-roller.desktop, gucharmap.desktop, and yelp.desktop in Fedora 19+,
so we no longer need to special case them in gnome-applications.menu.

Thanks for killing off the prefixes in Fedora 19! That's great and will certainly help going forward.

I share your concern about pushing this patch now instead of waiting a cycle. I think I'd like to revert this for now.

Sure, I don't mind.

This has been done in gnome-menus 3.31.3
