Only the first character of each line is printed.

Whenever I try to print a PDF from evince, only the first character on each line is printed. The rest of the line is blank. I have five journal articles from "Physics Today" provided to me by my professor and this happens in all them. Xpdf, however, can print them just fine.

The Producer metadata is "iText® 5.1.2 ©2000-2011 1T3XT BVBA" and the Format is "PDF-1.4".

FWIW, I found the referenced paper here: http://academic.evergreen.edu/z/zita/teaching/SciSem/ss2013/articles/PT/DE_CP07.pdf

This seems a regression either in poppler or cairo. I can print it ok, with evince 3.4.0, poppler 0.18.4 and cairo 0.10.2.

However, I can reproduce the problem with evince/poppler from master and cairo 0.12.3.

Please, follow the bug report in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60933

I am closing this one as NOTGNOME because the problem is in poppler/cairo backend.
