Once i have created pictures , I can only save them as XCF format, no png or jpg jpeg tiff , nothing. will not open tiff, jpg or any other file and be able to save as anything but an xcf. 
How do i fix this? have been using gimp for ever and now that i updated it dont want to work on windows 7 64 bit and save anything.
