Description stutz 2002-01-22 17:28:27 UTC
Package: panel
Version: 1.4.0.4
Severity:

>Synopsis: panel crashes due to "segmentation fault"
>Class: sw-bug
System: Dell-like laptop (I bought the machine from the last company I worked for when they closed their local office). I'm running RedHat 7.2

>Description:
The gnome panel crashes after gnome has been initiallized when I log in. The KDE panel seems to work just fine.

>How-To-Repeat:
1) Power up the laptop. The GUI login appears
2) Select gnome as the desktop. I have set up KDE as the default because I also had this problem on this laptop with RedHat 7.1.
3) Log in as 'root'. This is currently the only user I have set up on this system.
4) Gnome consoles it's initial message. Shortly after this, the panel crashes.
