GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 693242
places-menu: Alphabetize the default places
Last modified: 2017-11-25 02:18:12 UTC
gnome-shell 3.7.5 with gnome-shell-extensions 3.7.5 (jhbuild) The places menu in GNOME Classic mode doesn't list the default places in alphabetical order (which also means that the list is in a different order than Nautilus. I'm attaching a simple patch which fixes this for English, but I guess the more complete patch would require sorting the localized list of default places (does Nautilus do this?)

Created attachment 235628 [details] [review] places-menu: sort special directories like nautilus does Place Home first, then show the others in alphabetical order. They were in alphabetical order, just it was the Italian one :D
Created attachment 235629 [details] [review] places-menu: add Recent and Trash For completeness, compared with Nautilus.
Comment on attachment 235628 [details] [review] places-menu: sort special directories like nautilus does Pushing this because the release is impendent, and I want to have it before UI freeze. The second one I'm less secure of, so I'll wait for a review and ask for freeze break. Attachment 235628 [details] pushed as c3796b2 - places-menu: sort special directories like nautilus does
