Description Stanper 2013-02-01 20:53:49 UTC
We have in slovak diferent translation for names and for desription.
For example, name I must translate like "Zmena mierky zobrazenia podľa šírky obrázka" but for description I must change structure of this string "Mení šírku zobrazenia podľa šírky obrázka"

Split this string, please.

# action entry tooltip; Plugin name; plugin description
#: ../plugins/fit-to-width/eog-fit-to-width-plugin.c:93
#: ../plugins/fit-to-width/fit-to-width.plugin.desktop.in.h:1
#, fuzzy
msgid "Zoom to fit image width"
msgstr ""

So, if I understand you correctly the double-use of the same term in the .desktop file is the problem?

I am not sure if we can use translation contexts in these files.
Comment 2 Stanper 2013-02-14 00:22:51 UTC
And not enough to add context to the second file with a *.c?

    fit-to-width: Improve description strings

The previous description strings for the plugin and its UI action
were apparently hard to translate and also sounded a bit odd.
Try to make the description string match the style used in the main
    application more closely.
