Up to 2.6, painting with a gradient was standard. It has disappeared in 2.8 - *despite* its [previously] correct description in section 7.10 (fig 7.25) of the *current* Gimp Help.

Needs to be re-instated.

I built a dynamic and a tool preset for it and attach it here as soon as it's  fully tested.

Patch to bring back the 'Color from Gradient' functionality

This patch adds a Dynamic for the 'Color From Gradient' option
and three Paint tool presets (Airbrush, Paintbrush, Pencil), which
use this preset.
An update for the online documentation is in progress.
