Description William Jon McCann 2013-01-25 19:23:50 UTC
I think it would be good for Web to provide search results in the Activities Overview.

I think we only want to do live search through personal data. Probably just starred pages. And maybe have an easy way to open the app with the search performed in Google / Wikipedia etc.

Yeah, this would be cool. Are the APIs available in 3.6 or do we need master to hack on it?

The original ShellSearchProvider API has been available since 3.4, the shiny new ShellSearchProvider2 API requires 3.7.x - while the former is still supported, it doesn't really make much sense to use it for newly written providers.
