Description Thomas Bechtold 2013-01-20 09:55:35 UTC
I have an USB-Wifi stick and when I add the stick, the access point list of the stick is not updated. Access points are only available when I add the stick before I start g-cc.

Steps to reproduce the bug:

1) Close g-cc
2) insert an usb wifi stick
3) start g-cc
4) select wifi stick on device list
5) there are no access points available

Which gnome-control-center version and distribution is this about?

I use latest version from git and build/run it with jhbuild (on Ubuntu 13.04 amd64)

Can you please check against the current network panel? There were a number of fixes in git master.
Comment 4 Thomas Bechtold 2013-02-14 14:32:43 UTC
Still the same behavior.
Comment 5 Thomas Bechtold 2013-02-14 16:24:36 UTC
The device state is also wrong. g-cc shows eg "unmanaged" but nmcli dev shows "connected".
Comment 6 André Klapper 2021-06-09 16:07:30 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
