The right gettext-domain, i.e. "mutter" won't be set in org.gnome.mutter.gschema.xml through a build process. The problem causes an i18n issue that the schema file cannot be translated.

I've attached a patch. Please review it.

This is still an issue in 3.24. Mutter’s schemas are not translated in DConf Editor.

After applying Alberts’ patch, ./autogen.sh && cd data && make generates gschema files with “gettext-domain="mutter"”.
