Image shows results of Crop to Selection after selecting area using Rectangle Select Tool

1) Open an image.
2) Activate the Rectangle Select Tool.
3) Mark off a rectangular area within the image.
4) Select Image > Crop to Selection.
The image gets cropped, but the rectangular area (which can still be resized) remains open, shifted off the image. The rectangle should disappear.
