GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 691495
Allow local cache of "driver disk" files
Last modified: 2016-03-31 13:58:57 UTC
Right now we dynamically download driver disks during installation and cache them locally. However, you might be offline or on a limited network when you want to install a box, so we should be able to pick up the driver files from a machine-local "global" directory where the sysadmin or the distro/OS can preload driver files.
Agreed, the old code used to be looking both in /usr/share/gnome-boxes and in ~/.cache
I couldn't find this bug in my search before filing bug#698144. Now there is a lot more info there then in here so I'll mark this as duplicate rather than the other way around. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 698144 ***
