Description Alexander Larsson 2013-01-10 20:05:20 UTC
Right now we dynamically download driver disks during installation and cache them locally. However, you might be offline or on a limited network when you want to install a box, so we should be able to pick up the driver files from a machine-local "global" directory where the sysadmin or the distro/OS can preload driver files.

Agreed, the old code used to be looking both in /usr/share/gnome-boxes and in ~/.cache

I couldn't find this bug in my search before filing bug#698144. Now there is a lot more info there then in here so I'll mark this as duplicate rather than the other way around.
