ostree.gnome.org: Further workarounds for page allocation
Last modified: 2013-01-10 16:30:03 UTC
See: https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/solutions/64189 " Resolution: * Increase vm.min_free_kbytes kernel tunable to a higher value than a single allocation request. * And the customer has changed "zone_reclaim_mode" to 1 and so far these systems have been running without memory allocation failure. " So can we add echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/zone_reclaim_mode to the puppet scripts? It just needs to be done once per boot.
Added to rc.local through Puppet. As soon as RHEL 6.4 will be out we'll remove the following bits from Puppet and we should be good to go again.
