unable to play flv file with VP6 alpha video
Last modified: 2013-01-09 15:04:05 UTC
Unable to open an downloaded video file (.flv)
error message reads: Internal GStreamer error: negotiation problem. Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer.
Could you make the file available, or post a link to it? Which application is this with? And what version of that application? What distro/version are you using?
Hi Tim, Excuse my delayed response. The file in context is a porn video (I hope you are ok with that). It was downloaded from the following torrent link http://rarbg.com/download.php?id=27.7.41.38_7ny9pjskltvz5hqr16iwe8abfcmduo2x43gqazd6riow97je4lxspfyh81tbmn3ucgvk25&f=Salierixxx%20-%20Supplizio%20Di%20Giovane%20Madre%20E%20Baby%20Sitter%20%202008-[rarbg.com].torrent I have using the following video application to run the downloaded .flv file Totem Movie Player 2.30.2 Movie Player using GStreamer 0.10.28 I have also tried playing using VLC Media Payer 1.0.6 Goldeneye, but, only audio is heard , no video. The VLC player does play other files of .flv extension Let em know if u could help Thanks Vimal
Hi Tim, Apologies!.. I am able to play the file. Well... I downloaded the WinFF application to convert to the file to.avi. It works! The video is now visible Thanks for your help! Vimal
This is now resolved!
Converting it doesn't really fix the original issue. This plays fine for me with git, however. It should be fixed in the upcoming GStreamer 1.0.5 release. the VP6-alpha video got decoded to A420, which was broken.
You are right. I replied in haste. The file could not get converted to .avi. I thought it could be converted as, I ran a preview in the Winff and the video did play during the preview Thanks for the response and the remedy rectification in the next release. Appreciate it!
Let's keep the bug closed :)
