GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 690988
Cannot unpack part-file archive on samba share.
Last modified: 2020-11-11 19:11:29 UTC
My vocabulary might be wrong, but this is what I am trying to do. I have a mounted samba share with Nautilus (bookmarked). I want to unpack a movie. It's separated into multiple files (.r00 to .r23). To unpack it, I click on the .rar file. Everything works, I see the movie. Now, I try to unpack it and get the following message: Could not find the volume: movie.readnfo.720p.hdtv.x264-tla.r00 When I click to see command line output, this is what I get: Cannot find volume /home/reazem/.cache/.fr-Hhn6DH/movie.readnfo.720p.hdtv.x264-tla.r00 movie.readnfo.720p.hdtv.x264-tla.mkv - CRC failed Hopefully my report was helpfull. Let me know if you need additional info.
By the way, I fixed the problem by copying all the files to my desktop and unpacking it there.
bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time. If you still use file-roller and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/file-roller/-/issues/ Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (volunteer workforce and time is limited).
