GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 690968
GIMP is not maximized anymore if closed and opened again
Last modified: 2013-03-13 11:44:40 UTC
If the Single-Window mode is activated and GIMP is maximized (with the square in the title bar) after closing and openeing GIMP again the maximized state will be disabled (but the window has still nearly the same size).
This would be bug 597094. You're sure this is 2.8.2?
Help -> About shows 2.8.2
This was cherry-picked to the gimp-2-8 branch after 2.8.2 was released, so it is a duplicate of bug 597094 and will be available in 2.8.4. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 597094 ***
I'm using now GIMP 2.8.4 and the bug still exists.
Works fine in gnome-shell. What is your window manager? Also, please maximize gimp, quit and attach your ~/.gimp-2.8/sessionrc
Created attachment 238729 [details] sessionrc
My window manager is Openbox 3.5.0 but other applications like Firefox are successfully keeping the maximized state.
Thanks, the maximized state is not saved in that sessionrc. Do you have "Save window positions on exit" checked in preferences -> window management?
No, it was not activated. After saving the window position all is working fine. To go sure I have even tested this in 2.8.2 again but then the bug appears. So this is really a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 597094 ***
Ok, thanks for checking.
