Description entropy 2012-12-27 21:53:00 UTC
In Gnome 3.7.3 Ubuntu 12.10 there is no transparency in Guake, even though Transparency is set in Guake Preferences to 70%. Also the notification conflict hasn't been solved, as Guake does not start as a normal startup application if "Enable pop up notification" is checked.

Weird enough, after switching to Unity and then back to Gnome 3.7.3, the notification conflict seems to be solved and Guake's transparency brought back. This is to confirm the unstable Gnome shell and its experimental nature.

I have to open this bug again, because the issue seems to be the following: after restart or power on, Guake does not conflict with System Notification. But if I log out and immediately log in to GNOME 3.7.3, I get "Send crash report" again and notification conflict (having Guake Notification Pop-up enabled, which conflicts with System Notification). I hope you will fix this in future GNOME 3 releases.

Eight years later, anyone knows if this still happens in a recent version of gnome-shell (currently 3.38)? Or is this obsolete? Thanks.
