How to recreate the bug:

1. Insert a removable devices, such as a mass storage key flash, with the .is_audio_player correctly set
2. Create a new playlist in the removable device
3. Add a file form the local music store to the new created playlist

Ok, I've updated to libtotem-plparser 3.4.2 and RB crashes no more.
Anyway, a problem still persists. I've just reported it in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=690867
