This would be especially useful for the "search" panel in gnome-control-center, so that we don't have to use the toolbar buttons to reorganise the rows.

Having a separate mode to allow reorganising a-la iOS would be fine, as dnd'ing might conflict with scrolling in many cases.

egg-list-box is not under active development anymore and has not seen code changes for five years. Its codebase has been archived:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/egg-list-box/commits/master

reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the
