GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 690513
Dutch translation for gnome-packagekit in dialog asking for installation confirmation is wrong
Last modified: 2013-02-13 22:02:01 UTC
If I right click on a .deb file and try to install it, then a confirmation dialog appears. The Dutch text on this dialog is: "WWilt u dit extra softwaredepot installeren?". The double "WW" at the start of this sentence is wrong. The text should read "Wilt u dit extra softwaredepot installeren?". I checked the PO files of 3.4, 3.6 and 3.8. They all contain this error. I added a screenshot of the dialog.

This string is either fixed long ago or not originating from gnome-packagekit. I can't find it anywhere in the translation files, and not in old versions either.
I'm not sure why I overlooked it. I can only find this issue in the 3.4 version now.
I've also just grepped through the latest gdebi and packagekit repositories. Can't find it anywhere. Can you tell me which distro the screenshot was made on?
Maybe I looked in the wrong place: http://l10n.gnome.org/POT/gnome-packagekit.gnome-3-4/gnome-packagekit.gnome-3-4.nl.po Search for 'WW'
Ah, it was only in the gnome-3-4 branch, which has many untranslated strings. I think a fuzzy marker got removed by mistake. I've fixed it just now, but I'm not sure if it will ever show up in a release. [gnome-3-4 e145ec0] Fix typo in Dutch translation 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-)
Yes, I understand. For some reason (in my initial report) I thought the problem was also in the 3.6 and 3.8 versions. That was my mistake. Sorry.
Nevermind, I didn't look hard enough it seems. Thanks for the report!
