Description nodiscc 2012-12-18 12:31:53 UTC
Hi, there is no obvious way to set an image as wallpaper from the file manager, and we have to resort to either opening the image in eog and using the appropriate menu entry, or going to the wallpaper settings application, painfully browsing for the image. Setting an image as wallpaper is a common option and should not be more difficult than right-clicking the image, and selecting "Set as wallpaper".

This has been implemented in Nemo (a fork of nautilus by the cinnnamont team). Relevant commit: https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo/commit/87c571b33dae24040ede7a1f14789fbe9f739e0b

Please consider adding this functionality. Thanks

That's not true, this was implemented for Nautilus 3.6 (even before it was implemented in Nemo).
