Description Maciej (Matthew) Piechotka 2012-12-12 11:12:53 UTC
Gnome-shell hangs (screen freezez, only restart helps). The stacktrace as captured in this state:

Inferior 1 [process 2986] will be detached.

Quit anyway? (y or n) Detaching from program: /usr/bin/gnome-shell, process 2986

gjs_dumpstack - empty
xsession-errors relevant entries - none
trigger - unknown but it happens rather often in 3.6.x

For me it happens mostly and ocnstantly when I switch desktops with keybindings.
Comment 2 Tobias Wolf 2012-12-13 07:19:20 UTC
My problem must be a different one, I got a backtrace that mentioned playing a sound via pulseaudio and it just hung itself there.

When I disabled desktop sounds with gsettings the problem went away.
