but I click report bug button,it works.
I choose failsafe, it works too,
but I cannot get panel,even if i use root login


>How-To-Repeat:
after i shutdown for reboot new service (qmail with vpopmail), the screen goes wrong, and the machine halts, I have to push the power button for  some seconds to power off the machine,
and when i reboot the system, the crash happened.
I push Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to re-enter the X,
but it seems not work, it still crashes, same message:
Application "panel" (process xxxx) has crashed due to a fatal error. (Segmentation fault)

Please try the newly released gnome-core-1.4.0.5. I made a package you
can try if you are using a Red Hat Linux system. Find it at
http://www.gnome.org/~kmaraas/gnome-core-1.4.0.5-1.i386.rpm

There's also a new gnome-libs out which is needed for this. Package in
the same above dir...
