GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 689715
Brasero won't accept MP3's
Last modified: 2018-09-21 17:41:39 UTC
Using fedora 18 with all updates, brasero 3.6.1. I have rpmfusion and all appropriate gstreamer plugins installed (good, good-extras, bad, bad-free bad-free-extras bad-freeworld, ugly) If I try to make an audio cd and select an mp3 file brasero always says "is not suitable for audio or video media.". I've seen this on both computers I've installed fedora 18 on. This makes brasero unusable for anyone with an mp3 library... I also saw this issue on Ubuntu 12.10 with brasero 3.6.0, and on arch linux with brasero 3.6.1. (also with all gstreamer 1.0 plugins installed) Others see the issue too: http://readlist.com/lists/archlinux.org/arch/7/37022.html http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2012/08/msg00362.html This is a huge lack of functionality in the current version of brasero.
I have also seen this problem, observed in fedora 18 and arch with gnome 3.6
This seems to be a duplicate of Bug 687886 - right?
Just filed the possibly related bug 699599.
