GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 688724
Suffix "2" when recreating a deleted VM
Last modified: 2016-03-31 14:02:16 UTC
gnome-boxes-3.6.2-1.fc18.x86_64 1. Create a LiveCD VM 2. Delete said VM 3. Create the same LiveCD VM 4. VM is called "Fedora...iso 2" It shouldn't have a suffix like that, it's the only one I have.
Most likely the associated disk image was not deleted successfully along with the VM. Is there any chance you had created the VM with boxes 3.4.x and deleted it now? Also could you provide the output of 'virsh vol-list gnome-boxes' on your machine?

Ah, its a bug in libvirt-glib. The volume is not removed from the pool's list on deletion. I'll look into that but in the meantime, you can work around it by closing Boxes between deleting the VM and creating one for the same OS/media.
