GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 688616
Unable snap to sides in gnome3
Last modified: 2020-04-24 15:17:51 UTC
I am using Bluefish in Arch Linux. Bluefish used to be able to snap to one side of the screen so that it allocate half of it, just like other applications. (With some problem, like only being able to snap for one time, if moved it has to be restart to do that.) However, some while ago, perhaps after a certain gnome-related update, it is not able to do this at all while all other applications I am using works fine for this.
Just to add that it is totally fine for it to snap to the top to maximise it.
Well I just found that it's related to the menu bar (File, Edit, View...). It's actually not because of an update but since I have changed the locale which makes them take up more spaces. So now I am not sure if it's a bug or something intended. Yet other applications just "hide" the later items so you can resize it to any width.
Hi, if this ticket is still valid in a recent version of Bluefish, then please report this under https://sourceforge.net/p/bluefish/tickets/ as GNOME Bugzilla is not used anymore by the Bluefish developers - thanks a lot!
