GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 688303
Notification about first message from contact isn't displayed
Last modified: 2012-11-29 20:09:59 UTC
Description of problem: When the first message comes from contact (I haven't opened conversation with him yet) the notification doesn't appear (only sound is played) and this message isn't in system tray (the thing on the bottom of screen) conversation (but this conversation has its icon there) Notifications for next messages are shown correctly (and those msgs are in systray conversation). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): empathy-3.6.1-2.fc18.x86_64 Fedora 18 Beta TC7 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. run empathy and log into some account 2. receive a message from some contact Actual results: Notification isn't shown, there is icon for conversation in systray, but this message isn't in there Expected results: Notification (and message) are displayed Additional info:
The problem is already fixed in this bug : https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=686880
GNOME Shell is the one displaying the notification, re-assigning; Could you please attach mission-control log from empathy-debugger?
You need an updated telepathy-logger. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 686880 ***
