>Description:
i was in using vi through terminal for sendmail.cf, opened another terminal and was running linuxconf, i hightlighted my domain and the screen went to a full text login, i pressed enter, it then to the gui login, i logged in and came up with the error in the summary section above.

not sure if i can repeat, ive lost my taskbar, the onnly way ive ever been able to get it back is to reinstall

Please try the newly released gnome-core-1.4.0.5. I made a package you
can try if you are using a Red Hat Linux system. Find it at
http://www.gnome.org/~kmaraas/gnome-core-1.4.0.5-1.i386.rpm

There's also a new gnome-libs out which is needed for this. Package in
the same above dir...
