Description webstrand 2012-11-09 21:46:09 UTC
When Nautilus is out of focus, double clicking on an icon in Grid View will raise the window, but will not open the file.

Double clicking on a file when in list view works as expected; Nautilus is raised and the file is opened.

Steps to Reproduce:
(1) Open Nautilus and navigate to a directory that has files in it.
(2) Set the view to Grid View.
(3) Open another window of any kind such that Nautilus is still visible on the screen but is out of focus, or not raised.
(4) Double Click on any file in the directory.

Expected Behaviour:
Nautilus raised and double click action taken on the file or folder double clicked.

Actual Behaviour:
Nautilus is raised to the foreground and the file double clicked is selected.

Additional Information:
Nautilus behaves as expected in List View, being both raised to the foreground and double click action taken on the file or folder double clicked.

This works fine for me here on Fedora 18. Which distribution are you using? Do you use gnome-shell or another window manager?
Comment 2 webstrand 2012-11-10 02:24:12 UTC
I am using up-to-date Arch Linux, my desktop environment is gnome-shell without any extensions, enabled or otherwise.

gnome-shell version is 3.6.1-3.
nautilus version is 3.6.2-3.

As a side note, I have tried this on another computer (also running Arch Linux with gnome-shell) and it had the issue as well.

This is working fine for me in current Nautilus 3.26.0 in Fedora 26.

Please re-open if you can reproduce with current Nautilus.
