Testing the new options panel "mouse and touchpad", the touchpad turned off by miskate. The problem is that no other device was on hand and I took it back on the keyboard.

It would be a good idea to block this option if no other device connected is detected.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

And see also bug 685941, so you can't end up without a touchpad enabled.
