Description Marcus Moeller 2012-11-02 14:25:54 UTC
With the updated notification area / system tray, it's even harder to use in. Right now it has become more a container for notification messages. As you have to wait very long, in order to show it (or press Super+M), it's far away from being usable.

I would suggest to lower the height of the tray and to display it always, instead of showing/hiding it.

This would allow easy access to all notifications and messages.

That is a temporary workaround, as the desired behavior depends on yet-to-be-released Xorg changes.
