Description Bruno Orcha García 2012-11-02 09:49:35 UTC
In the original English text, you can see a information text as next:

"Hotkeys allow you to quickly access your notes from anywhere with a
keypress. Example Hotkeys: <Control><Shift>F11"

In the Spanish translation, the last part, is like that:

"... Ejemplo de teclas rápidas: <Control><Mayús>F11"

Note that the hotkey token "<Shift>" has been translate also as "<Mayús>", which it's wrong. It should be "<Shift>" because it is a hotkey expression.

Comment 2 Daniel Mustieles 2012-11-02 11:05:23 UTC
This is not a bug, since the «Shift» key is translated as «Mayús» in all the cases.

All the special keys are translated into Spanish: «Home» -> «Inicio»; «Enter» -> «Intro», etc, so I don't see why this key shouldn't be translated.
Comment 3 Bruno Orcha García 2012-11-02 11:08:45 UTC
Well, the text it is shown as a example of a hotkey.

If I try to use this combination "<Alt><Mayús>F11", it will not work, because it is a invalid hotkey expression. So, the example is wrong and it will confuse the user.
Comment 4 Bruno Orcha García 2012-11-02 11:11:40 UTC
Also you can see other translation (jp, de, ar, af, ...) and in all the case the token <Shift> is NOT translated.
Comment 5 Daniel Mustieles 2012-11-02 11:28:01 UTC
But if it is just an example, translation doesn't matter. The «Shift» key is the Shift key regardless the translation, so the bug is not in the string, but in the keybinding done in the source code for this hotkey.

Reopnening and reassigning this bug to «Tomboy» component. Please keep it open until Tomboy developers decide what to do.

Thanks for your bug report.
