Description Allan Day 2012-10-30 20:54:06 UTC
In the user menu, you can change your chat status. The current states read as "Available" or "Unavailable".

I don't think that "unavailable" is right here - it sounds a bit like a busy state, rather that logging you out of chat. Also, it is inconsistent with Empathy.

We should change the string to read "Offline" rather than "Unavailable"3

hrmm... is that really how it works? I thought unavailable just marked you 'invisible' or 'busy' for friends/networks, but you were still online if you wanted to see who was also online and maybe send them a message.

now my mother is going to be asking me how to use the internet, but not have to chat with her friends. offline could be easily confused with 'hey, I won't be able to use the internet.' unavailable is not so easily confused.
