Description Kerrick Staley 2012-10-27 01:20:15 UTC
The "Connect to Server" and "Enter Location" options don't really belong in the Application Menu, since they affect the current window rather than the application in general (see http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/3.4/#rnusers.application-menus).
Comment 1 Allan Day 2012-11-01 14:46:44 UTC
While these options they do affect the current window, they aren't dependent on it. I can open connect to server from anywhere and the result is the same, for example.

Enter location is a little more dubious, since it directly affects the window rather than opening a dialog, and since the location is specific to the window itself.

Now that "Connect to Server" is available in the sidebar [0], it doesn't need to be in the app menu.

There's nothing wrong with it being available in both places, I think

Remove Enter Location from the app menu

It does not belong in the app menu because it affects the current
window. Instead, always show it in the gear menu.
