GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 686351
mutter 3.6.1 breaks gnome-shell
Last modified: 2012-10-18 13:49:20 UTC
After upgrading to gnome 3.6.1 It has become unusable as After login and before user wallpaper generation I experience the "Oh no! something has gone wrong" screen. This can be fixed temporarily by downgrading mutter to 3.6.0 and it works fine. If it helps I am working on a two monitor system. http://pastebin.com/UmLEAURr - .cache/gdm/session.log
This seems to be a packaging issue in Arch Linux -- /usr/lib/libmutter.so was not linked against 'libSM.so' and 'libICE.so'; already fixed in package 3.6.1-2.
Marking NEEDINFO as of comment #1.
(In reply to comment #2) > Marking NEEDINFO as of comment #1. ... also I've tested this now on Fedora with both 3.6.1 and master, and can't reproduce the issue.
Alright package 3.6.1-2 does resolve the issue. Thank you all
