GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 685859
Banshee does not remember CD track info from previously played CD's
Last modified: 2020-03-17 10:01:47 UTC
Originally reported at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1063937 I inserted a CD into my computer and started to play the CD with Banshee. Banshee displayed that it could find the album information for the CD that was playing and displayed everything as Unknown, so I manually entered the name of the album, artist, title of songs, etc. I ejected the disc and later reinserted the disc, again Banshee tried to retrieve the album info and was unsuccessful. And all of the previously entered album and track info was gone and only Unknown Artist & Unknown Album appears ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: banshee 2.2.1-1ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-26.42-generic 3.0.42 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-26-generic i686 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 CheckboxSubmission: d1d0d890d7d0c02d220494c450923be5 CheckboxSystem: edda5d4f616ca792bf437989cb597002 Date: Mon Oct 8 11:54:10 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release i386 (20111011) SourcePackage: banshee UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) --- ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 CheckboxSubmission: d1d0d890d7d0c02d220494c450923be5 CheckboxSystem: edda5d4f616ca792bf437989cb597002 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release i386 (20111011) Package: banshee 2.6.0-1ubuntu1~hyper1+oneiric PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-26.42-generic 3.0.42 Tags: oneiric running-unity Uname: Linux 3.0.0-26-generic i686 UnreportableReason: This is not a genuine Ubuntu package UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare vboxusers
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
