Description Matthias Clasen 2012-10-04 00:17:27 UTC
Background is bug 680195

<owen> mclasen: I think the idea likely has merit, but the details are obscure ... killing the transition to the overview is likely good
<owen> mclasen: but if you make the mouseover on the desktop panel non-animated it looks very abrupt and odd
<mclasen> ok
<owen> so maybe you want the side-panel always in?
<owen> mclasen: but generally, reduced-animations-for-remote-display is more well defined than "turn off all animations"

should maybe consolidate bug 655746 and this one together?
Comment 2 Bastien Nocera 2013-01-31 21:47:27 UTC
gnome-settings-daemon already takes care of disabling animations on behalf of the whole desktop when used remotely, so this is the same as having support for disabling-animations (bug 655746).
