Description Paul Menzel 2012-10-03 15:00:35 UTC
Starting Rhythmbox 2.97-2.1 from Debian Sid/unstable the following messages are sometimes printed to the terminal.

    (rhythmbox:3438): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: is_path: assertion `path[length - 1] == '/'' failed

    (rhythmbox:3438): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_settings_backend_path_changed: assertion `is_path (path)' failed

    (rhythmbox:3438): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: is_path: assertion `path[length - 1] == '/'' failed

    (rhythmbox:3438): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_settings_backend_path_changed: assertion `is_path (path)' failed

As no commit mentions such an error message I guess this is still present in 2.98 too.

A stack trace for these would help. Run rhythmbox under gdb with '-D something' and it'll break on each critical.
