GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 684835
MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED - When sending an email that is in reply to another message
Last modified: 2012-10-22 07:34:30 UTC
When sending a reply to an email the "Send" fails with the following error message dialog: An error occurred while sending, how do you want to proceed? The reported error was "Could not send message: WriteStream: MAPI error MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED (0x80004005) occurred" then I get the option of continuing editing, Save to Outbox or Try again. I can send emails that arent replies just fine. This is for Evolution 3.6.0 on Ubuntu 12.10 (fresh install -- I went for the 12.10 beta specifically so I could get evolution 3.6 easily)
here is the output I get (some redactions since this is a corp email acct) when I run evolution with the MAPI_DEBUG=1 option. as an additional item, I attempted to just create a NEW message (non-reply) and copied the text and TO/CC lines for this email into the new one. I get the same error message back when I try to send that new message, so I am at a loss as to what this may be. I am able to create and send smaller/simple test emails. e-mapi-connection.c:1087: e_mapi_connection_open_default_folder: lock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:1122: e_mapi_connection_open_personal_folder: lock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:1128: e_mapi_connection_open_personal_folder: unlock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:1103: e_mapi_connection_open_default_folder: unlock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:3979: e_mapi_connection_create_object: lock(session & global) e_mapi_mail_utils_message_to_object: EMapiObject: 0x7fb474059b30 (parent:(nil)) PidTagInternetCodepage (long) - 65001 PidTagMessageFlags (long) - 8 PidTagSendRichInfo (bool) - 0 PidTagSubject (unicodestring) - 'Re: 252359 - 252359b - JMS Contact Names' PidTagInternetReferences (unicodestring) - '<C1801A59000F1B49948F4320FB0AE98719985A@MOKSCY3MSGUSR9K.REDACTED> <2F6CC40F17DFB044A742BDF05882B2CC01F7D0E2@MOSTLS1MSGUSR9N.REDACTED> <C1801A59000F1B49948F4320FB0AE98719E7D9@MOKSCY3MSGUSR9K.REDACTED>' PidTagInReplyToId (unicodestring) - '<C1801A59000F1B49948F4320FB0AE98719E7D9@MOKSCY3MSGUSR9K.REDACTED>' PidTagInternetMessageId (unicodestring) - '<1348619385.31334.0.camel@cft-G75V.REDACTED>' PidTagBody (unicodestring) - ' ******* Message Text REDACTED ************* ' PidTagHtml (streamed Binary 0x7fb47414e610, size 4038): ************ HEX Dump of Message text REDACTED -- let me know if you really need to see the whole thing ******************** Recipient[0]: PidTagRecipientType (long) - 1 PidTagDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME1' PidTagRecipientDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME1' PidTagAddressType (unicodestring) - 'SMTP' PidTagEmailAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL1@REDACTED' PidTagPrimarySmtpAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL1@REDACTED' PidTagSendInternetEncoding (long) - 0 PidTagDisplayType (long) - 0 PidTagObjectType (long) - 6 PidTagSendRichInfo (bool) - 0 Recipient[1]: PidTagRecipientType (long) - 2 PidTagDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME2' PidTagRecipientDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME2' PidTagAddressType (unicodestring) - 'SMTP' PidTagEmailAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL2@REDACTED' PidTagPrimarySmtpAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL2@REDACTED' PidTagSendInternetEncoding (long) - 0 PidTagDisplayType (long) - 0 PidTagObjectType (long) - 6 PidTagSendRichInfo (bool) - 0 Recipient[2]: PidTagRecipientType (long) - 2 PidTagDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME3' PidTagRecipientDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME3' PidTagAddressType (unicodestring) - 'SMTP' PidTagEmailAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL3@REDACTED' PidTagPrimarySmtpAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL3@REDACTED' PidTagSendInternetEncoding (long) - 0 PidTagDisplayType (long) - 0 PidTagObjectType (long) - 6 PidTagSendRichInfo (bool) - 0 Recipient[3]: PidTagRecipientType (long) - 2 PidTagDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME4' PidTagRecipientDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME4' PidTagAddressType (unicodestring) - 'SMTP' PidTagEmailAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL4@REDACTED' PidTagPrimarySmtpAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL4@REDACTED' PidTagSendInternetEncoding (long) - 0 PidTagDisplayType (long) - 0 PidTagObjectType (long) - 6 PidTagSendRichInfo (bool) - 0 Recipient[4]: PidTagRecipientType (long) - 2 PidTagDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME5' PidTagRecipientDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME5' PidTagAddressType (unicodestring) - 'SMTP' PidTagEmailAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL5@REDACTED' PidTagPrimarySmtpAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL5@REDACTED' PidTagSendInternetEncoding (long) - 0 PidTagDisplayType (long) - 0 PidTagObjectType (long) - 6 PidTagSendRichInfo (bool) - 0 Recipient[5]: PidTagRecipientType (long) - 2 PidTagDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME6' PidTagRecipientDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME6' PidTagAddressType (unicodestring) - 'SMTP' PidTagEmailAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL6@REDACTED' PidTagPrimarySmtpAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL6@REDACTED' PidTagSendInternetEncoding (long) - 0 PidTagDisplayType (long) - 0 PidTagObjectType (long) - 6 PidTagSendRichInfo (bool) - 0 Recipient[6]: PidTagRecipientType (long) - 2 PidTagDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME7' PidTagRecipientDisplayName (unicodestring) - 'NAME7' PidTagAddressType (unicodestring) - 'SMTP' PidTagEmailAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL7@REDACTED' PidTagPrimarySmtpAddress (unicodestring) - 'EMAIL7@REDACTED' PidTagSendInternetEncoding (long) - 0 PidTagDisplayType (long) - 0 PidTagObjectType (long) - 6 PidTagSendRichInfo (bool) - 0 e-mapi-connection.c:3447: update_props_on_object: lock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:3344: write_streamed_prop: lock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:3422: write_streamed_prop: unlock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:3496: update_props_on_object: unlock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:4067: e_mapi_connection_create_object: unlock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:1235: e_mapi_connection_close_folder: lock(session & global) e-mapi-connection.c:1243: e_mapi_connection_close_folder: unlock(session & global)
