I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature.
A priori, I thought axis titles should stay close to the axis.

I'd say it's a bug, but I have no idea about how to fix that. I'm not surprised anyway, since the way axes work these days could not be anticipated when the layout model was implemented.

For now, you can use manual position for the titles to put them where you want.

Has this bug been fixed in recent releases?
(sorry, I am running a somewhat outdated version at the moment)
Comment 3 Jean Bréfort 2014-10-31 13:19:25 UTC
No, unfortunately. This would need a lot of work, and hence a lot of time, and probably an API break. I have no available time for now, so that would need somebody else to volunteer to work on that.

OK, thanks for the answer and for your work Jean.
Comment 5 Jean Bréfort 2014-11-26 12:19:00 UTC
This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.

Not sure the fix is perfect though. It was easier than anticipated.

Thank you very much Jean, this will help.
I will test this asap.

I tested this feature on a simple case and it works well.
Thanks again.
