Description hungerburg 2012-09-22 10:10:03 UTC
The slider to set the size of a brush accepts values between 1 and 10,000. The values visually represented by the bar only range up to 1000. Still, this leaves only so little room to adjust small values on its left with the mouse: Yet, these are the ones commonly used.

I propose to make the brush size slider use a logarithmic scale: That way it will offer users much more precision where it is needed.

Base 10 eg. there would be 3 thirds: 1-10, 10-100, 100-1000. Perhaps, base 2 would give even better user experiences with 10 steps. I do not know. A logarithmic scale is smooth anyways, isnt it?

Yeah this is too late for 2.8, and is fixed in master.
