I am converting some Canon RAW files to JPEG.  I am using version GIMP version 2.8.2 on 3.6.0-rc6 of Fedora Linux.

I get this error 

(gimp:16240): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_tree_model_get: assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_MODEL (tree_model)' failed

(script-fu:16244): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: gimp_wire_read(): error
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

It is very reproducible.
