Description lmforreg 2012-09-04 15:40:16 UTC
this is a screen recording to show how it happened:
ttp://leiming2006.vicp.net/ftp/gimp_screen.wmv (~1.8MB)

when I switch between tools, in the tool options window the text often disappear.
restarting gimp, switch to multiple-window mode/single-window mode can make the text display again. but it will happened again before long.

I notice this bug in version 2.8.0, and looking forward for a new version that have this bug solved. but unluckily in 2.8.2 the bug still exists. So I come here to drop a report.

regards,
LeiMing

Comment 3 lmforreg 2012-09-08 11:51:13 UTC
After a several times of tries, I found how it happened.

When a tool is being selected for the second time, the text disappeared.

for example, the first time click the paintbrush, in the tool options window everything went well. when I switched back to paintbrush (clicking it for the second time), the text disappeared. but it affect no other tool: if I click the eraser tool at the moment, it went well; but after this, when the second time I click the eraser tool the text disappear.

gimp 2.8.2, using english language pack has no difference to the bug.
