Textless icon shown in mid-bottom when a notification is sent

On ubuntu 12.10, gnome-shell notifications are not displayed properly in RTL user interface (such as Hebrew).
When they are sent, an "info" icon appears in the mid-bottom edge of the screen, but the notification itself is not shown.
When accessed later from the lower left corner of the screen, a short, almost vertical and empty "bubble" is shown, but the message text (and icon) is not shown in it.

To reproduce this:
1. Log into gnome-shell using an RTL ui (Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, etc.).
2. Type in terminal:
notify-send "This is a test message".

See attached screenshots. Note how the message cannot be read.

Seems to be resolved with the latest libglib2 (2.33.12-3).
