Screenshot of GNOME Classic session in Ubuntu, using the High Contrast theme

Using the high contrast theme, gnome-panel's background colour is black. The foreground colour for menus — such as the menu bar applet — is also black. As a result, the text is completely unreadable.

The menu bar applet should either have a white background or white text.

I now fixed this in git master, thanks for the report.
