GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 682270
Wireless list - arrow button is undiscoverable and hard to activate
Last modified: 2012-09-13 21:23:48 UTC
Created attachment 221852 [details] modified screenshot The new wireless list uses an arrow button for showing more details about a network. The current layout of the list creates a number of significant problems here: * The arrow is lost - it isn't a prominent element, and it is hard to guess that it provides essential functionality. * The arrow is a very small click target. * There is nothing to indicate when the arrow and the row are separate click targets. Some ways to alleviate this: * Add more vertical spacing between list items. * Add more horizontal spacing on either side of the arrow. * Change the symbolic arrow icon to a normal icon. * When the row contains two click targets, add a line next to the arrow. I've attached a modified screenshot to show what I mean.
Some of these proposals are implemented in the wifi-improvements branch. See the screenshot for how it looks.
